He could feel the air moving over and around him in a way that it never had before. There was movement to his right and he stretched out his senses, immediately getting hit with the sense of family.

The sensation grew stronger as someone ran a hand over his shoulder. To the left was someone who felt different than the other and yet the same. He couldn’t explain how he knew the difference but he knew what the feeling was.

“Time’s up,” Spike said as he walked towards Dean. Dean’s gaze left the wall that he’d been staring at and turned towards Spike, eyes narrowing. “I was just waiting to see how this would go and results are in, Dean. Dru’s on her way and she’s bringing your boy with her.”

Dean felt the panic rise up and he clenched his jaw even as he desperately tried to think of some last minute plan that would get him and Sam out of this. Some last minute miracle that would stop whatever it was that Spike was going to do.

Whatever it was, Dean knew he wouldn’t be alive at the end of it and he still had a few months left before he had to uphold his end of the deal so dying really wasn’t on his list of things to do just yet.

He let out a breath and smirked at Spike. “And you think Sam’s just going to lie down and die? You’re going down, Blondie.” It was the first time that he’d spoken all night and while it wasn’t his best, it was the best he could do at the moment.

The look Spike gave him was one that could only be described as approval. “Ah, so you do know how to talk.” He smirked and Dean just wanted to kick the smug ass in the face. “I’d wondered.” Now, Spike moved a little closer, stopping before he was within reach of Dean’s legs as if he knew what Dean was thinking. “No kicking.”

Dean tensed as Spike began to circle him, stopping when he was standing behind Dean. Every instinct was screaming at him to turn around and he cursed the chains that kept him from doing so. He could feel Spike stepping closer and he held himself still, determined not to show any weakness.

There was a moment where Dean wondered what Spike would do next and then he felt the bite at his neck followed by a pulling sensation and he didn’t have to wonder anymore.

He struggled, any thoughts of holding himself still forgotten as he yanked at his chains. Strong hands went to his waist, holding him in place. Slowly, Dean felt himself getting weaker until he was using the chains to keep himself up rather than trying to use them to get away.

Spike pulled away, moving quickly so that he was standing in front of Dean once more. Even as his heart slowed, Dean fought to keep his head up and Spike smiled as he sliced his neck. Originally, he’d been planning to offer up his wrist but seeing the fight Dean continued to put up, he changed his mind.

He watched the look of realization come into Dean’s eyes and didn’t waste any time in pulling his mouth toward the cut, brushing his lips against the blood that had welled up. For a moment, nothing happened and then Spike felt Dean’s tongue swipe across his skin, tasting and then working the cut open, swallowing the blood that began to flow.

“Good boy,” he whispered.

“Kitten’s awake.” He turned towards the soft voice, eyes opening slightly to take in the way she stared at him, dark eyes lit with happiness.

“I see that, Dru.” A hand grasped the back of his neck. “You’ll remember everything in a moment. Just takes a little to get settled, that’s all.”

He frowned, working hard to remember and then his eyes widened as the most important thing came back to him first. “Sam.” Dean pushed himself up.

“He’s not awake yet. Now look at me, Dean, and tell me who I am.” Dean continued to try and sit up.

“Family loyalty first, my Spike. Always. Little brother is his world and he needs to make sure the world is okay.” Dru laughed, delighted with Dean. “He’s perfect.”

Spike knew where she was going with this line of thinking. Years of being with Dru had made it so that he understood her tangents easier and this one wasn’t as complicated as some of the others.

No matter how loyal he was, Sam would come first. Spike could understand that. Dru came first for him as well. But Dean had to learn that things were a bit different now.

“Look at me,” he ordered. Dean paused and looked at him. “Who am I?”

The answer came quickly and easily. “Sire.”

“Good. But I know you know my name, Dean,” Spike said, deliberately using his name. He knew that it was there, all Dean had to do was think of it. Briefly, he wondered if he was going to have problems making Dean feed before Sam woke up. He seemed to look after him no matter what.

Something flickered in Dean’s expression. “Spike.” He glanced from Spike to Sam and then back again. “Spike, I have to go to Sam.” A part of Dean remembered the anger he’d felt towards Spike before but everything else inside him was telling him that Spike was family now.

“You have to feed.”

As if saying the words had flipped a switch, Dean felt his hunger slam into him. It gnawed at him. His head snapped up as Spike tilted his head in offering.

Dean didn’t need any more encouragement.

Sam scanned his surroundings as he walked, tensing more with each step he took. He didn’t want to miss some possible escape route just because he’d been too focused on getting to Dean. That wouldn’t help either of them get out of there.

He was about to ask if it was much further when they turned and walked through a doorway. The sight that met him caused Sam to freeze.

Dean was lying there and if it weren’t for the fact that it was very obvious he wasn’t breathing, Sam would have thought he was asleep.

“No.” The denial was fast, flying out of his mouth before he could even think it. Everything else was forgotten as he rushed forward, dropping to his knees next to his brother. He couldn’t stop the tremble that ran through him as he searched for a pulse.

Sam froze as he saw the two puncture holes and he felt the anger begin to build. Vampires. The anger burst through him at the thought of his brother’s life being drained from him.

He sensed someone walking up to him from behind and he clenched his jaw. Without warning, he spun and kicked the person’s legs out from under him.

Spike swore as he hit the ground. He’d been expecting the boy to throw a punch or launch himself at him. Instead, he’d manage to knock him down with one kick of the leg. He grinned as he jumped up. Good. That meant he didn’t always do the predictable thing, that he thought fast on his feet.

He didn’t bother with any witty remarks as the fight began, instinctively knowing that he’d get no response from Sam.

Fists flew and the only sounds in the room were flesh connecting with flesh and Dru’s occassional laughter as she watched.

Spike waited, knowing that the moment he was waiting for would come, that moment when Sam would drop his guard. His lips twitched as they danced around each other and then he smiled as he saw what he’d been looking for. Moving quickly, he knocked Sam to the ground, pinning him there.

“You should be thanking me.”

Sam’s struggles stopped, shock overtaking him at the words. “Thanking you?” he demanded. “You son of a—you killed my brother!”

“I freed him, mate.” Spike raised an eyebrow at the transformation of confrontational soldier to wary young man. “That’s right. No need to worry about the deal now. Your brother is a free man.”

“A dead man.”

Spike smirked. “Undead if you want to get technical about it.”

“I allowed him to avoid going to hell for all eternity. Now he gets to walk and talk and a year from now, he’ll still be doing it if he’s smart. If he’s really smart, he’ll still be walking and talking a hundred years from now.” He paused and let the truth of his words sink in for Sam. “Now you’ve got a couple choices. You can continue to fight me, try to kill me. If, and let me tell you that’s a big if, you manage to do it, you’ll still have to deal with Dru. And if you somehow manage to kill her, then you just think of the fact that you’ll have to kill your brother after that. Option two, you can continue fighting until I wear you out and you get the honor of being your brother’s first meal. Option three, you can join us, become a part of the family as Dru likes to put it.” He grinned. “You can be with your brother over there forever.”

He kept his eyes on Sam’s as he loosened his grip, making it clear that the choice was his. “So, what’s it going to be?”

Sam’s eyes darted to where Dean lay and then back to Spike. Slowly, he looked over at Dean again before turning back to Spike. Eyes never moving from Spike’s, he tilted his head in a clear invitation.

Spike smiled.

Dru laughed again as Dean licked his lips clean. “You’re full now and the Prince is waking.” She spun, her arms spread. “And he didn’t even need to be kissed.” She ran a hand down Spike’s arm as he let Dean go so that he could check on Sam. “Look at them, Spike.” She circled her finger over the top of his hand. “They’re ours now.”

Spike nodded. “Yeah, Dru. They’re ours,” he said before standing. “Come on then. We’ve got to make sure Sam is taken care of as well.” He held out a hand towards her.

“Such fun we’re going to have. Aren’t we?” she asked as she took it. Spike nodded.

Oh, yes. Thank you. That was just what I wanted after reading the previous two parts. Sam and Dean as Spike's children and Dean still loyal to Sam above all others. *g*
Perfect voices too.
I was mildly surprised by Sam giving in, but only mildly.
This 'verse promises to be great fun. Are you planning to continue it?

Oh yes, that was just lovely. Spike knows exactly what buttons to press with these two boys, and I love that Dru knows that Dean's first priority will always be Sam, even after death.

Just lovely. Bounces and waits for more eagerly.
