Fic: Too Much Interference (NC-17) 4/?
Title: Too Much Interference
Pairing: Buffy/Dean
Rating: NC-17
Spoilers: Buffy - through season 5, early season 6 later. Supernatural - at least through "No Exit" (2x06).
Summary: The Scoobies, Sam, and everyone else may feel like they know too much about Buffy and Dean, but they're not the only ones. Because, really, Buffy and Dean just want to know when they're all going to stop interfering in their lives. And more importantly, when they're going to stop interrupting them.
Disclaimer: Oh yeah. They're mine. Kripke and Whedon? They had to get my permission to create their shows. *pauses* Pfffft. Yeah, I wish. But I had you going there for a minute, didn't I?
Note: As you can probably guess, this is the companion piece to Aimee's Too Much Information. It will be done entirely from Buffy and Dean's POVs, hence the rating.

Dean

I still can’t believe that Joyce (and wow, did Buffy roll her eyes when she insisted we call her that…I swear I thought her eyes were going to fall out) is so easily agreeing to Buffy coming with us. And I think Buffy herself is surprised. That or she wants to strangle me. Probably both.

Frankly, I think she’s worried about leaving her mom and sister alone.

Not that I can blame her but they’re not totally helpless or whatever. Willow told me about how Joyce smacked Spike over the head with an axe the first time she met him. (And I’m waiting for the perfect moment to pull that one out. Blondie won’t know what hit him.)

Man, I wish I could have seen that.

But yeah, I get why Buffy would be worried. They seem like a pretty close family and well, apparently Dawn has a knack for getting in trouble. From what I’ve heard, she could give Sammy a run for his money.

Faith looks amazed that Joyce has agreed and frankly, so does Buffy.

Huh. I guess me and Sam are really good at convincing people to go along with what we want.

“Don’t bring your whole closet. We do stop to do laundry.” Yeah, you guessed it. Buffy’s going upstairs to pack.

“Yes, because my whole wardrobe would fit in your car.”

I frown. She better not have just implied that there is something wrong with my car. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“That I have more clothes than you have space.”

Well, yeah, okay, I can’t argue with that because despite the fact that I love my car, I’m not going to try and prove that it could fit her wardrobe in it. That’s just crazy. And if there’s one thing I’m not, it’s crazy.

Despite what Sam or Buffy might tell you.

“We’re going to be keeping in touch through e-mail, Joyce. And we’ll call. Don’t worry.” Sam is giving her that big smile, the one that usually has people caving in to do what he wants.

“I’m always going to worry. But I think I’ll worry less now.” See? Joyce trusts me. She trusts Sam. Not too sure she completely trusts Faith but I’m guessing that has to do with the history between her and Buffy. Of course, earlier I heard Dawn muttering something about people who tried to kill her sister so I’m guessing it was an understatement to think that the history wasn’t all good.

And if that’s even remotely true, I’m surprised Buffy hasn’t punched Faith yet. I’m pretty sure if I had to work with someone who’d tried to kill me…well, okay, I doubt I’d ever work with someone who had tried to kill me when not possessed or whatever.

It’s not that I don’t like Faith. I know for a fact that she’s just hitting on me to get to Buffy and I’m not going to object. Annoying Buffy and making her jealous while getting groped by a hot chick isn’t something I’m against. Hell, I’m all for it.

I turn at the sound of someone coming down the stairs. Huh. I thought she’d take longer than that to pack. Maybe we’re lucky and she didn’t bring that much.

Of course, that hope is dashed the moment I see her. How the hell is she managing to carry all those? Slayer or not, I’m surprised.

I just hope some of those have weapons in them. Please tell me that there’s at least one bag of weapons in that pile. She can’t be bringing that many clothes.

She drops them on the floor and starts saying her goodbyes to the family so I think that’s our cue to start taking bags out to the car. I can’t help but laugh when I hear Buffy telling Dawn that she better remember not to invite vampires into the house anymore and Sam is grinning when Dawn starts muttering about how that was one time only.

I hear Willow squeak (and I can’t believe the girl actually squeaks…that just amuses me) when we come out holding so many bags. I bet that’s how she knew Joyce gave it the okay.

And as amusing as she is, the hugging is just too girly for me. Going by the look on Spike’s face, that’s probably the only thing we agree on. Well okay, that and I’ve heard him threaten people if they start talking about his car. The DeSoto is his baby (and my Impala could kick its ass any day of the week).

Buffy is saying goodbye to everyone else now, Spike included, and I’m kind of surprised that she didn’t threaten to dust him if something happened to her mom or sister. Maybe she did that earlier when the plan first got introduced. He’s the strongest fighter left in town now and so that means she’d naturally make sure he’d protect them.

I doubt she needed to though. He seems to have a soft spot for the two of them. (And if I’m right, he’s got the hots for Buffy but hasn’t admitted it to himself. Sucker.)

Now she’s promising to come straight back for the next apocalypse. It was one of the only conditions to letting her go. She goes, she has to be available to be able to come right back in case the world’s about to end.

I can say goodbye much quicker so I do and then I get to work on fitting everything in the trunk, which it turns out is impossible. So the girls are just going to have to suffer with a bag or two in the backseat.

Sammy is taking forever saying goodbye to Willow and Xander and the others, promising that he’ll send them e-mails to keep them updated on everything. I don’t really see the point in that. What’s there to keep them updated on? What’s the e-mail going to say? ‘Buffy didn’t kill Faith today so we consider it a success. Oh and she and Dean argued only twice so it was slow today. Spirit taken care of. The end.’

How exciting.

I can feel Faith’s eyes on me as I get in the car and judging by the way Buffy’s jaw is clenching, she notices too. Or she’s just ticked off that she has to share the backseat with Faith. One of the two.

As we pull away, Faith is already leaning forward and whispering questions in my ear about girls I’ve met in the past and I can hear Buffy shifting and making noise behind me. I keep my eyes on the road and press the gas down a bit more.

Oh yeah, this trip is going to be fun.

*stares at your mood theme*

What?

Oh right, the story. I know I've read it before but you can't ever have enough feedback and I thought I'd let you know that I'm still lovin' it. Though I really want you to write the scene in which Dean teases Spike about the axe from Joyce. That would be hilarious!

LOL, this mood theme can be very distracting. The first time I saw it, I lost a few minutes just staring.

But I'm so glad that you're still enjoying this. It's always a good sign when someone enjoys it a second time around.

And oh, I may have to write that scene one day. As a little interlude or something. *nods* Yup!

Hooo boy. Yeah, can't wait for the sparks to start and for Buffy to kill Faith, because I know it's going to happen. *nods*

The DeSoto is his baby (and my Impala could kick its ass any day of the week).

Damn straight it could; that DeSoto is a wreck, and the Impala is a perfect baby. *loves it*

LOL, well I'll tell you this much: I'm up to chapter 8 (or 9...can't remember!) and she hasn't actually really killed her yet. But it's been close. Mostly, these chapters were all me catching up to Aimee who just updated like whoa when we started this and now the ball is in my court so I'm working on the next chapter. Finally. Heh.

LMAO, ah the poor DeSoto. It really is a wreck. The inside alone...yikes. The Impala would definitely kick its ass. *pets it* Metallicar FTW! \o/
